Play approached me with a task to engage urban planning policymakers across Poland in a campaign focused on 5G technology. Their goal was to build support for 5G infrastructure investments nationwide and to further position Play as a leading advocate for technological advancement and important investor. We developed a strategic plan to reach and engage these stakeholders.

The Goals

  1. Identify and connect with key figures in urban development and spatial planning on the level of local governments.

  2. Create an engaging and informative virtual conference.

  3. Obtain communication consents to facilitate engagement with stakeholders post-conference.

About the Project

I began by compiling a contact database, starting with publicly available email addresses for local governance. Using email automation, I reached out to gather direct work contacts for individuals in positions relevant to urban development, resulting in a highly targeted list of stakeholders which we could use further in the campaign.

The conference itself was designed to be strictly educational, with no promotional agenda, which made the invitation process easier. After building the targeted list, we started sharing personal invitations along with the conference sign-up link. Once stakeholders signed up on the page, we secured their consent for future communications and made sure they will show up on the virtual event. Ultimately, we achieved over 300 registrations for the two-day event.

To ensure a high-quality experience, we partnered with a professional studio and a visual mind mapper who created live summaries of all talks and panel discussions, adding value and clarity for attendees. The conference was very professional, and the feedback from attendees was very positive.
